Job Site Trainer (Staunton and Harrisonburg Corridor and surrounding localities)


Hourly Wage: $17.00/Hour, plus mileage

Summary: Position provides on-site employment training and support to individuals with disabilities in their place of work in community-based job sites.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide and document job site instruction and support to individuals with disabilities.
  • Provide systematic instruction/training on work tasks and document daily activity.
  • Facilitate natural support relationships between the employer, co-workers, and supported employee.
  • Communicate with our customers’ Employment Team and your supervisor about the individual’s progress, achievements, and challenges associated with the job.
  • Work collaboratively with appropriate adult service agencies and/or community organizations to maximize community participation for the individuals on your caseload.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in a Human Service Field or experience in training or teaching individuals with significant disabilities. Professional and life experiences may substitute for an educational degree;
  • Must value individuals with disabilities as productive, contributing members of our community.
  • Ability to use a computer, including email and databases.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through for completion of tasks and projects;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including but not limited to strong grammar, spelling, and usage of standard English;
  • Must work well independently and with others, and remain productive with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm for interacting with people are a must.
  • Clean driving record and background check required.
