📍 Location: HELSTF
đź’˛ Starting Wage: $17.99/hour
🗓 Schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM- 4:30 PM & Every Other Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

What You'll Do
As a Trades Helper, you'll assist skilled maintenance personnel with a variety of maintenance and repair projects throughout the facility. Responsibilities include:
- Assist with painting structures and equipment
- Support concrete repairs, including floors, steps, and sidewalks
- Help with general carpentry projects
- Replace damaged floor tiles, ceiling tiles, and wall paneling
- Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings using plaster or compound
- Assist with equipment and machinery maintenance
- Help install sheetrock, including taping and texturing
- Scrub and wax floors
- Move furniture and equipment as needed
- Assist with installing PVC, copper, and black pipe
- Perform general housekeeping and facility maintenance duties
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a skilled trade such as:
- Automotive
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- HVAC
- Painting
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain a Government Operator's License
- Ability to read blueprints and freehand sketches
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and flexibility
Background Checks Required
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing:
- General Background Check
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Office of Inspector General (OIG) Exclusions Check
- Office of Personnel Management (OPM)/Federal Investigative Services Security Clearance
