SUMMARY:

Fulfills contractual requirements by maintaining an attractive, maintained, and safe property for a contract facility for clients, employees, staff, and the public; minimizing property damage, loss, and liability exposure. Work will be accomplished in a safe and productive manner following all state and federal laws. Work is generally performed during the day and evening in order to meet Government and/or Commercial Contract Specifications.



Education and/or Experience:  

Requires high school diploma/GED or equivalent. Previous grounds maintenance experience is preferred.

Screenings: 

A background screening will be completed as a condition of employment. Must be able to pass an Agency background check.

Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms and smell. The employee is constantly required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds

 

Work Environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is often exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat; occasional exposure to blood and airborne pathogens. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high when using equipment. Job tasks are often repetitive. The employee is regularly required to work varied hours and shifts. The employee is frequently required to travel between Goodwill properties, locations, and contract sites.
