ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAS CORPUS CHRISTI.


  • You will develop and operate a cohesive Recurring Work/Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • You will plan and develop programmed maintenance data, plus inputting, designing, and mapping of all new maintenance initiatives for Preventive Maintenance and related programs.
  • You will conduct program briefs as requested by other PWD staff/ assigned by PWD supervisory chain personnel to explain content of program doctrine, objectives, methods, procedures, regulations, and performance impacts.
  • You will provide continuing technical assistance during all phases of PM execution for in-house service providers

Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Communicating in writing and orally with stakeholders at all echelons; 2) Conducting inspections of real property assets to develop a written analysis assessing the condition of the facilities; 3) Prioritizing work based on factors such as mission and facility condition; 4) Understanding of MAXIMO to maintain data regarding facilities maintenance; 5) Understanding of ICAP data maintenance procedures including, but not limited to, making changes to Component Inventory Management Units and Real Property Installed Equipment..
